Annotated Bibliography

In this assignment I learn how to use the CCNY database and start choosing reliable sources. I had to learn to create citations based on the document’s format I was using and in Chicago style. I had to write three parts for the bibliography, first it was a summary, then the information I will use and how, and finally how it connects to my topic.

Outline

Before I started writing my first draft it was needed to create an outline. An outline for me right now it’s necessary because it keeps me organize and it lets me realize if all the information needed is going to be included by the final paper. In this outline it was separated by times in history and the lens in each paragraph, the lens was an important fact because I had to discuss about this during the whole essay. Even though, later on I had to change this outline because some details were vague and made me lose details in the way of writing my first draft.

Draft

This draft was asked for my professor. Honestly, not the best draft but we had a peer review and time to ask questions and my overcome from that class was that I was missing my lens of how the community was impacted by the site. I also noticed that my In-text-citations were being placed wrong and not being followed by instructions. I really enjoy having time in class because it makes me improve for the future and learn more about how to write in Chicago style.

Final Paper

In my final paper I made sure to add all the information needed. However, overall the most important thing was to add In-text-citation since it will show my professor where I got my information from. I added pictures that will add a visual perspective for my audience. This research paper was mostly focus on the lens in community and the history such as past, present, and how is imagined in the future. I had the chance also to learn more about Chicago Style and it was interesting to learn new fact about writing.
